Our Story
Our journey began in the heart of veterinary care, where our founder, Kat, worked as a veterinary assistant and saw firsthand the wide range of personalities in both dogs and cats — the brave, the nervous, the curious, the reactive. Later, while working at a positive reinforcement-based training and boarding facility, she got to know the dogs with big feelings — the ones who barked a little louder, needed more space, and couldn’t quite settle in a kennel, despite thoughtful adjustments.
It became clear: not every pet is suited to a facility setting. And not every family has someone who feels confident caring for an anxious or reactive animal. Even the most loving friends and relatives aren't always equipped. And for those families, that often means sacrificing travel, plans, or even just a bit of time away.
So, she built a solution: compassionate, in-home care designed entirely around the pet. A service that meets each animal on their terms — whether bold, sensitive, playful, independent, or anything in between. A way for all pets to feel safe, seen, and respected in the place they know best: home. And for pet parents to breathe easy, knowing someone truly understands their animal — and has the patience, skill, and heart to care for them like family.

The Inspiration
The heart behind our logo is Maxwell — Kat’s soul dog and the inspiration for everything we do. More than just a dog, Maxwell embodies the deep, unwavering bond we share with our animals — loyal, joyful, and always presen. When designing the logo, Kat wanted it to reflect that connection: a symbol of trust, care, and companionship. Maxwell represents the spirit of our brand — dependable, loving, and deeply rooted in the belief that our pets are family. Through this, we offer friendly, professional service that honors that love while helping pet owners fully enjoy their time away from home with peace of mind.
